Testimony – Katie Wright
When I was younger I was in class one Sunday night in church and the teacher was talking about salvation. Later that night I talked with my mom at home and thought I got saved. However, I never felt comfortable sharing my testimony with anybody.
Last week at camp, on Thursday evening, we were walking around to four different stations. At one of the stations we had to write on a note card some of the trials we are going through. I had always felt alone during trials and it finally clicked that night that I was just going through the motions. I realized that I felt alone in everything because I was depending on worldly things to help me and not on God.
I prayed to God and thanked Him for dying on the cross and forgiving me of my sins. I then went to church group time. One struggle that I was going through was feeling like I did not fit in. After I got saved and told the group, things began to change. I am not developing closer relationships and I know that is God’s way of showing me that it was Him that I had been missing from my life. On Thursday night, July 23rd, 2015 I dedicated my life to Christ. I am no longer ashamed or afraid to share my faith.
