As far back as I can remember, my family has brought me to church. My Mom says as soon as I was 6 weeks old, I started coming to Fredonia. I have happy memories of mission friends, preschool choir, church camps, and VBS. Now I enjoy my Sunday School class, GA’s, and children’s choir. Along the way I have had some wonderful and caring teachers who always made sure we understood how special God’s love for us is.
A few months back, I had many questions about how to be saved. My family explained it to me and we began to pray about it. This year I was very excited about VBS. I knew God was dealing with my heart. On Wednesday during VBS, I marked my card that I wanted to speak with someone about becoming a Christian. Mr. David Bishop shared the plan of salvation with me. We prayed together and I asked Jesus to forgive me of my sins and come into my heart. I had a new and different feeling inside. Now I understand what sin is and know that Jesus died on the cross for me. Now all those sins are forgiven. I have two classmates at school who do not go to church. When I get back to school, I am going to invite them to Fredonia and share with them my experience. What God has done for me, He can do for them.
