Baptized: 6/23/13

I was raised in church and have been involved in church my whole life.  Growing up, I took confirmation classes and joined the church.  After college, I moved to New Albany where I met my husband.  I began attending church with him.  It was then that my heart became heavy and I realized that I was lost.  I came to the realization that I had completely “missed the boat.”

This really began to trouble me and weigh heavy on my heart.  In the Spring of 1997, our church had a Lay Renewal weekend.  On a back pew alone, I asked Jesus into my heart.  I felt like the weight of the world was lifted off of me.  I never went down to the front of the church and made my decision public.  Finally, after all these years, I want to complete my decision by being baptized.

I am so thankful for this church family.  You have welcomed my family with open arms and I would just like to say thank you for everything.
